Teach Breathe Learn: Mindfulness in and out of the Classroom
Teach, Breathe, Learn shares how Meena Srinivasan, a classroom teacher, weaves mindfulness into her daily teaching practice to create more compassionate, calm, and present learning environments. The book is divided into three parts: the first focuses on personal mindfulness practices (like breathing, walking, eating mindfully) to help teachers shift from reacting to responding; the second shows how teachers can share mindfulness with students, colleagues, and parents (through kindness practices, gratitude, seeing oneself in others); the final part provides a full curriculum with lesson plans, handouts, and homework assignments that educators can use to integrate mindfulness into the classroom. The aim is to help both teachers and students cultivate presence, emotional awareness, healthier relationships, and more mindful decision-making during everyday school life.
