Before the events most people know, the young prince Loki of Asgard is eager to prove himself heroic, despite the expectations and fate others place upon him. When a disastrous magical incident occurs, his friend Amora is banished to Earth and Loki is sent as well on a mission — this time to nineteenth-century London, to investigate mysterious deaths tied to Asgardian magic. As Loki journeys through Asgard and Earth, he faces his brother Thor’s shadow, his father Odin’s expectations, and the question of whether he must become the villain that legend says he will be.
