Moody Cow Meditates
In Moody Cow Meditates, Peter the cow is having what he calls “one stupid, rotten day”—missing the bus, wiping out on his bike, being teased, and generally feeling angry and frustrated. That is, until his wise grandfather shows him a simple meditation exercise: using a “mind jar” (a jar with water and sparkles) to help him notice, name, and calm his angry thoughts instead of acting out. As Peter watches the sparkles settle, he learns that emotions, no matter how intense, can slow down, settle, and become more manageable. Through humor and vivid illustrations, the book introduces young children to mindfulness, teaching them that they can choose pause and calm even in difficult emotional moments.
